It's been a long and challenging campaign, and it all came to a close tonight in the best way possible: a decisive victory for all four of the Caucus-nominated candidates.
We couldn't be more proud of Tom Nemickas, Sally Davis, Ted Moorman, and Dave Lane for the way they presented themselves throughout the campaign. They are four wonderful individuals who, together, will make the board even stronger and will continue moving Lake Forest High School in a positive direction.
We are proud and grateful that the Lake Forest Caucus and VOTE Lake Bluff allowed us to work alongside them in supporting these candidates. Teamwork carried the day.
We are grateful for all the community members who allowed us to list their names on this website as supporters, and who donated what they could to support the campaign. We didn't have any $10,000 donors, but we didn't need them. We had what was much more important: diverse people who came together to serve a common cause for the good of their community.
And finally, we are so thankful for all of the volunteers who made this campaign successful. From putting up endless yard signs, to writing thank-you notes, to analyzing data, and so much more ... dozens of people stepped up to do jobs they may not even have known they were capable of, and do them well.
That's enough for now - once our data folks have gone through all the numbers we'll post some highlights and gleanings. And soon we'll need to think about how to carry forward the good things that have happened during this campaign. But for now, let's just enjoy the moment.
